FUSD Summer Band/Orchestra Program Registration
Hopkins Junior High School Instrumental Music Department once again invites you to join the FREE Fremont Unified School District (FUSD) Summer Band/Orchestra classes!
General Information
- What: Intermediate Band, Advanced Band, Intermediate String Orchestra, and Advanced String Orchestra
- Intermediate Band and Intermediate String Orchestra will be taught by Mr. Cary Nasatir
- Advanced Band and Advanced String Orchestra will be directed by Mr. Gregory Conway
- When: Mondays through Fridays, beginning Thursday, June 25, 2020 and ending Friday, July 17, 2020
- Intermediate Band and Advanced String Orchestra 9:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.
- Intermediate String Orchestra and Advanced Band 10:45 a.m. to 12:00 noon
- Where: Hopkins Junior High School, Fremont
- Who: ALL FUSD students currently in 4th through 12th grade (Others require Director approval)
- Mandatory: In order to enroll in these classes, all students are required to participate in an evening concert on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Chabot College, Hayward
- Attendance: Failure to attend the FUSD Summer Music Program without notifying the Summer Music Coordinators at summermusic.fusd@gmail.com will cause that student to not be allowed into any future year’s FUSD Summer Music groups.
- Other: Flexible class attendance; minimum of 45 students per Band class required; minimum of 20 students per String Orchestra class required; possible community service hours for high school students
