Students study the basics of string instrument technique and music theory. They work on improving their technique and skills through exercises, etudes, small group playing, full orchestra literature, and method book study. Students participate in 2 concerts during the school year. We ask for a one-time donation of $250 to help cover the costs of the program.<\/p>\n

  • Open to 4th and 5th at Mission San Jose attendance areas & Immersion Schools<\/u><\/strong><\/li>\n
  • No experience necessary<\/li>\n
  • Limit 32 students per class – Students will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.<\/li>\n
  • Class meets at Hopkins Middle School<\/li>\n
  • Class Times:<\/strong>
    \nBeginning Strings (section 1) – Tuesdays 4:00-5:00pm
    \nBeginning Strings (section 2) – Tuesdays 5:15-6:15pm<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
