Located in Fremont, California, (William) Hopkins Junior High School, known widely as one of the best in its category in the state, has a student population of about 1,110. Hopkins students participate in a large variety of activities and have made impressive accomplishments in many. A distinguished source of pride is Hopkins’ very strong Instrumental Music Program, comprising of Band and Orchestra, which consistently receives accolades and recognition statewide.
Throughout the years, the Hopkins community has discovered and continued to reap the many benefits of taking music classes at school. In the current school year (2017-2018), about 370 seventh- and eighth-graders (i.e. about one-third of the student population) are enrolled in full-year elective classes offered by the Instrumental Music Program.
